What this calculates
A titration schedule is a sequence of doses that changes on a fixed interval — typically stepping up over several weeks, sometimes stepping down. This page takes a schedule you have already been given and puts real calendar dates against it, so you can see which dose falls in which week without counting forwards on a calendar. Every parameter is yours: the starting amount, the size of each change, how long each step lasts and how many there are. The tool arranges; it does not prescribe, and its defaults are zeros rather than a pattern.
How it works
Each step number is multiplied by the interval in days and added to the start date, and by the change-per-step and added to the starting dose. Dates are computed in UTC so a daylight saving transition partway through a schedule cannot shift a step by a day. A change of zero produces a flat schedule at the starting dose, which is a legitimate thing to want — it turns the page into a plain dosing calendar. A negative change steps downward. Nothing is stored anywhere: the schedule exists only in the page in front of you and disappears when you close it.
Worked example
Using round arbitrary numbers to show the mechanism: a start date of the first of a month, a starting dose of 1 mg, a change of 1 mg per step, an interval of 7 days and 4 steps. That yields 1 mg on the 1st, 2 mg on the 8th, 3 mg on the 15th and 4 mg on the 22nd, spanning 21 days from first step to last. Change the interval to 28 days and the same four doses stretch across twelve weeks instead of three.
Common mistakes
Reading the schedule as a recommendation. It is a rendering of numbers you typed, and it will just as happily lay out a schedule that is wrong for you as one that is right. Second, confusing the interval with the dosing frequency — this page marks the date each step begins, not every administration within that step. Third, assuming the schedule is saved; it is not, and reloading the page returns the fields to their defaults.
