The short version

Every calculator on TallyBarn runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are never sent to us, never stored on a server, and never appear in any log. We do not have accounts, so we do not hold names, email addresses or passwords.

We do use analytics to count visits and advertising to fund the site, and both of those set cookies if you allow them. That is the whole of it, spelled out below.

What we collect

Calculator inputs — not collected

Calculations happen locally in your browser using JavaScript. No input is transmitted. If you disconnect from the internet after the page loads, the calculators still work, which is the simplest demonstration of this.

Analytics

If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which calculators get used and how people arrive. This records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and whether a calculator was used on a page. It does not record what you typed into it.

Advertising

This site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings.

Local storage

We store one item in your browser: your cookie choice, so we do not ask again on every page. It never leaves your device and you can clear it in your browser settings at any time.

Your choices

The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or decline. Declining means no analytics cookies and no personalised advertising cookies — the site still works and every calculator behaves identically. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. Because we hold no accounts and no calculator inputs, the only data involved is what Google collects as a processor under the terms above. Requests can be sent to sahummel93@gmail.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Third parties

Google Analytics and Google AdSense are the only third-party services on the site. Their handling of data is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
