Using this site

TallyBarn is free to use. There is no account, no subscription and nothing to agree to beyond these terms. By using the site you accept them; if you do not, please do not use it.

Results are estimates

The calculators are provided for general information and planning. They are built carefully and checked against independent references, but they cannot account for your specific circumstances, your local building code, your institution's rules, your jurisdiction's tax treatment, or the condition of the materials in front of you.

Anything with structural, financial, legal, tax or health consequences should be confirmed by a qualified professional before you act on it. Nothing on this site is professional advice of any kind, and no relationship of professional reliance is created by using it.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result is accurate for your situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage — including materials purchased, work performed, or decisions made — arising from the use of this site or reliance on any result it produces. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case those limitations apply only to the extent permitted.

Content and intellectual property

The text, design and code of this site are ours. You are welcome to use any calculator result in your own work, quote reasonable extracts with attribution, and link to any page. Please do not copy the calculators or the explanatory content wholesale onto another site.

Advertising

The site carries third-party advertising. We do not control, endorse or take responsibility for the content of those ads or the sites they lead to.

Changes

These terms may change. The date above reflects the current version, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
